Medium James Van Praagh can see ghosts. although some say that he is a fraud, he continues to profess his powers to communicate with the afterlife.
James is the co-executive producer of Ghost Whisperer on Friday nights on CBS. James visited Loretta Lynn’s mansion after she told him that she felt that she had ghosts. Unfortunately, for Loretta, James announced that her ghosts were mean and he left without helping. James stated that he saw blood all over and felt that someone was killed in the house.
On the show, Ghost Whisperer, Mary Ann Winkoski is the one that helps with the ghostly episodes as she actively seeks out ghosts in real life. This could be two reasons why, some say that James Van Praagh is a fake with no substance. He is the creator of the show, but doesn’t have an active role in the creation of the storylines.
James was raised as a Roman Catholic. At the age of 14 years old, he attended a seminary, but later had a spiritual phenomenon that caused him to abandon his religious beliefs and follow his own beliefs. He soon began giving private readings and soon turned to television interviews and writing his books. James says that he gets messages from the spirits.
After the wrong prediction of kidnapped Shawn Hornbeck, James was called a fraud. He saw Shawn in a railroad car, dead. However, Shawn was found four years later alive and had never been near a railcar nor did his captor have any connection to a railcar or company as James had spoken. James had said that sometimes the messages that he receives are hard to understand and he can misinterpret the meanings.
James does have some accomplishments, but they are in writing books and offering help to those that want to be guided in developing their own spiritual messages. James has been on many talk shows and other television shows including Live with Larry King, but he mostly appears to promote his books, videos and online courses for helping others develop their gift.
This doesn’t make him any more appealing to an audience of his peers. Because he hurried out of Loretta’s haunted mansion without helping, some said that he was a fraud. Is it possible that he did see or feel a presence and was truly sincere when he said it was a mean ghost that he was not capable of handling? Why would Mary Ann Winkoski be needed on Ghost Whisperer if he truly could see ghosts?
James has said that he is a true psychic and that this not something that anyone can do. Those with the gift can enhance their powers by developing them so that they to can communicate with ghosts and help others who want to hear from their loved ones that are deceased. He has been doing it for many years and continues to believe in his abilities to communicate with spirits from beyond.
