The crew of the plane had a conversation about what it was seeing with air traffic control so the conversations were recorded. The crew was interviewed as well as the air traffic controllers. What was seen that night in the skies of Texas? Was it an UFO encounter? When you hear the details, you will be able to judge for yourself. Did the crew see visitors from another planet? Was it a space ship?
The flight attendant and the First Officer saw a row of flashing white lights right below the altitude of the plane. When First Officer Waller saw the lights, he immediately called the Traffic Control Center in Albuquerque. There was nothing found to be flying in the area at that time. Whatever was making the flashing white lights was not showing up on the radar screen. The plane continued on its way and left the lights flashing behind them. When thunderstorms developed, the object could be scene better. It was cigar shaped with white flashing lights.
The pilot and the First Officer estimated the object to be about three to four hundred feet long. Even though the object was not showing on the radar, Traffic Control called the North American Defense Command and heard that they were tracking an object that unidentifiable. That report turned out to be a small plane with no transponder working. What NORAD said next would shock the world or would it? By 1995, there had been so many cases of alien and UFO encounters, but none were explained like this.
The next day, the NORAD told the traffic controller that they had tracked another source that was stationary and then would speed up and then stops. They estimated that it was going over one thousand miles per hour. After interviews with the crew and looking at the radar readings and listening to the traffic control to airline personal, it was agreed that something was out there that night with American West. What it was is still a mystery. The people that saw it describe something that is not an aircraft or anything else we would have in the sky. So, what was in the sky that night over Texas?
We may never have conformation as to what it was flying over Texas, but one thing is for sure, it was not something from our world. Was it a UFO? That is the only explanation. Many people have said they see space ships and have encounters, but when you hear it from a crew of an airliner, you have to believe that they are sure about what they saw. They fly the skies every day and know what is what in the sky. It would be fascinating to see a UFO, but an encounter with another being may not be what anyone wants. Who knows what has happened to people that go missing never to be seen or heard from again.
